Title I Staff

Mrs. Ashley Risacher

Mrs. Risacher is a Certified Reading Specialist.  She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in English Education 7-12 and a minor in Special Education.  Mrs. Risacher previously spent some time in different teaching positions around the Pittsburgh area before working as a Reading Specialist Intern at Keystone Oaks School District where she traveled between two of their three elementary buildings servicing students in grades K-5.  She completed a Masters Degree in Reading Education from the University of Pittsburgh and currently holds certifications for English 7-12, Reading Specialist K-12, and Library Science K-12.

 

Mrs. Elizabeth Kramer

Mrs. Kramer is our Title I Math Specialist. She graduated from Bucknell University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  She holds certifications in Elementary Education (K-6), Early Childhood Education (n-3), Middle Level Math (7-9) and Middle Level Science (7-9).  Mrs. Kramer has worked as a classroom teacher in many grade levels over 13 years before coming to Fort Cherry, including Kindergarten, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  She is currently working on obtaining her Mathematics Coach Endorsement and eventually her Masters in Math Education.   Here at Fort Cherry, she works collectively with the classroom teachers to carry out a quality mathematics program and support student learning.

 

Mrs. Alicia Shea

Mrs. Shea is a Title I Reading Specialist.  She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) in 2009 while raising her family.  When working as a fourth grade teacher, she fulfilled requirements to graduate with her Reading Master’s Degree in 2017, and is certified as a Reading Specialist (K-12).  Both of her degrees were achieved from Shippensburg University.  She spent nine years teaching in the Waynesboro Area School District where she taught fourth grade and kindergarten.  Prior to her return to college, she spent three years as a paraeducator with the same district.  In the summer of 2020, she and her husband relocated to be closer to family.  She worked as a substitute in the 2020-2021 school year solely at FCEC where she started as a long-term substitute for Learning Support.  She ended the school year as a long-term substitute in second grade.  This is her first year as a Reading Specialist.  She is an alumna of the Fort Cherry School District.
