Community Service Requirement:
Students were asked to provide an update of completed community service hours (30 are required for graduation). Those students who indicated that they do not have documentation of their hours or have not completed the requirement should have received a packet that must be completed to meet this graduation requirement. The packet with community service paperwork is attached.

SAT Prep Resources:
Go to collegeboard.org
Create an account, if you do not already have one
Go to the tab “SAT” at the top of the webpage
Under the dropdown menu select “SAT practice and preparation”
Scroll to the bottom and select Khan Academy
Explore practice tests, tips, strategies, and diagnostic quizzes
SAT testing:
Juniors planning to attend college should prepare to take the SAT exam in the Spring of 2025. SAT dates for this year are posted on the college board website and students can sign up to take the SAT at sat.org/register. Fort Cherry is offering the SAT on campus in October and May. Even though many colleges are "Test Optional" it has been stressed to us by college representatives that taking the SAT and submitting scores can enhance students' financial aid offers from schools, so we recommend students take the SAT if they plan to apply to college.
ASVAB:
The ASVAB is traditionally used to determine if you are qualified to enlist in the military and to assign you to an appropriate job in the military. ASVAB tests measure aptitudes in four domains: verbal, math, science & technical, and spatial. Additionally, the ASVAB is a valuable career exploration tool, and students choose if they want to release their ASVAB results to the military. The ASVAB can be taken more than one time. The ASVAB date will be announced soon for students to sign up and students who take the ASVAB will have an opportunity to review and interpret their results. Therefore, we recommend that any junior or senior wanting to explore career options sign up.
